POPS!

For Jason's 30th birthday today, we went up to Arcadia and had lunch at Pops, the cool new gas station/restaurant/soda shop on Route 66. The boys loved it, everyone got to pick their own soda from over 500 different kinds!

This couple was so fun and laid back. We walked all around Bricktown last weekend, they were willing to try anything! They are the kind of clients that make my job easy and fun! I'm excited to do their wedding in a few months!

My youngest son, Parker, just turned one, I can't believe it! Here are a few one year pictures we took!

My hair (9 inches!)

Last year I saw Hilary Swank on Oprah and she inspired me to do something crazy...cut my hair off!! So I went in last December and had my hair stylist cut off over 9 inches of my hair, but I didn't stop there, I had her dye it dark brown too! It was so not me to do something so drastic, but I told myself, it's just hair and it will grow back!

So I just now finally got around to mailing my hair in to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths, who uses the donated hair to create free wigs for women who have lost their hair from cancer treatments. It was so exciting to be a part of something like that! I am so thankful for my family's health and mine and it felt like something simple I could do to help someone else out. Baby "O"

Here's a sweet week-old baby girl who's pictures I did a few days ago. She was so perfect, never cried once and didn't even poop on the backdrop! She had a gorgeous full head of hair, love it! Reminds me of my babies, aw!

Marathon (half)

Yesterday I accomplished something I've always wanted to do, I ran a half-marathon! I did the OKC Memorial Marathon, it was awesome! I was dying at the end and literally saying, "I never want to do this again!" But I'm already thinking about doing another one in Novermber...San Antonio if anyone wants to join me!

Junior High...

This week I had the priveledge of speaking to a middle school classroom about photography. It was definitely out of my element, but really fun! Some of the kids were really interested, which was fun because I get so excited to explain how the camera works. I definitely have a new respect for teachers now after spending a week planning lessons and trying to talk over a bunch of junior high kids! I wanted to get a picture of the kids up on the blog, but apparently you have to have a signed permission slip from every parent in order to put their kids' picture online, yikes!

Urban Session

One of my favorite styles I'm now offering is the Urban Shoot. It involves grungy backgrounds, including old buildings, weathered brick walls, and railroad tracks. Fun vibrant colors and vintage clothing works great with this look. This style is perfect not only for seniors and engagement shoots, but also families and kids. Here are a few pics I did yesterday...

Blog World

So I've decided to finally join the world of blogging. I'm not much of a writer, so I probably won't make a lot of posts, but I love the idea of showing my clients previews of their images as quickly as possible. I know after I've done a session of my own kids I cannot wait to see the pictures, and I'm sure other parents and brides are the same way. I can post pictures on here as soon as the day of the shoot, before I get a chance to edit the full session. I'll probably also ramble a little about myself and my kids so that future clients can get to know a little about me before they meet me. Enjoy!
